Who We Are

DJ Hunt’s obsession with music started at an early age.
The classically-trained pianist started banging on keys while he was still in diapers, and his passion for music and technology naturally evolved into deejaying and music production.
In 2000, after countless hours of watching DMC battle videos and studying every kind of ’scratch’ possible, Hunt purchased his Technics 1200 turntables and started deejaying house parties, bboy competitions, community events, and even his own high school dances. In later years, Hunt entered the club scene, playing nights at every major spot in Vancouver including Shine, Tunnel, Barnone, Republic, Boss, The Standard, The Wild Coyote, Lucy Mae Brown, Richards on Richards, Plaza, Plush, Sonar and more.
Upon completion of the Recording Arts program at the Art Institute in Vancouver, Hunt started working at Hipposonic Studios (http://hipposonic.com), one of Vancouver’s premier recording facilities, which is now home to his own recording studio and production outlet, HYPE Productions.
In 2007, Hunt assumed the role of Executive Producer for Vancouver’s only hiphop television show, ‘Pass Da Mic’ (http://passdamictv.com). Over the course of the show’s final two seasons on-air, he managed the entire production and hosted interviews with many international recording artists including N.E.R.D, Lil Jon, Mims and more.
That same year, Hunt also created ‘hunt.FM’ (http://hunt.fm) a weekly online mixshow dedicated to promoting newly released hiphop and R&B music. In strict contrast to today’s mainstream radio, Hunt assembles regular ‘New Music Mixes’ that have never contained the same song twice! - an ambitious feat that is unmatched by any other popular music mixshow. Together with co-host Jenno Chand, they have produced over 100 episodes to date and have featured highly recognized guest deejays and artists from across the world including DJ Wristpect, Carl Henry, Jeremih, DJ Baby Yu, Vanguards Music, Famous, Jay Swing & Flipout, DJ Big Syphe, DJ Psar, Red 1, GMAN&RIZK and many more.
When he’s not on-air for hunt.FM, Hunt divides his time writing and recording songs with various artists, working on music for film and television, and deejaying across Vancouver.

JENNO
(Co-Host)
GoGetters Entertainment
Upon graduating from high school in 1999, Jenno decided to pursue a career in music production and radio. After applying four times (yes, four times!) to the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Radio Broadcasting program, she finally got accepted!
With a diploma in Radio Broadcasting, Jenno’s career has branched into three different paths: Promotions/Marketing, Music Production & Radio Podcasting. Aside from her duties at hunt.FM, she is working hard on the club/concert company, GoGettersEnt, that she has started with her younger sister CoCo, while also producing music and building her own recording studio!
